What is checked — and what isn't
These validators check formats: the country prefix and digit structure of the VAT ID, the IBAN checksum (MOD 97), and the structure and check digit of the Leitweg-ID. A format check is not an official confirmation — whether a VAT ID is actually issued and assigned to the correct company can only be confirmed by the qualified lookup (BZSt/VIES). The results here say so honestly.
What about full invoice validation?
